Joshua Lifrak to Escape Florida and California for One Day in Dallas

at a Mental Skills Training Workshop on December 9, 2012 at Southlake Carroll H.S.

Josh Lifrak

Lifrak is a senior member of the mental conditioning staff at IMG Academies in Bradenton, Florida. At IMG, he works closely with the soccer, basketball, and baseball team coaches to help build team chemistry, accelerate learning, maintain motivation, and maximize confidence. He also meets individually with hundreds of elite athletes. This includes working with pre-combine players for the NFL and NBA, professional tennis, soccer, and baseball players, and various athletes from other sports.

Outside of his full-time work at IMG, Lifrak consults for numerous Division I athletic programs including USC Football and Tennis. The tennis team at USC is historically superb, with the most NCAA DI team titles in history (20), but was coming off perhaps their worst season ever when they found Lifrak. He met with the team as a group and each student-athlete; that team won a National Championship in Doubles. Even more involved with Lifrak the next year, the 2009 squad won the first of four consecutive overall National Championships. They will be shooting for five in a row in 2013.

Lifrak has been a clinic presenter on numerous occasions and is excited to come to Dallas for a Mental Skills Training Workshop on December 9. His first topic is, “Purpose Wins: Thoughts Create Actions and Actions Create Results.” It is his training that has contributed to improved self-talk, behaviors, and wins for his clients, creating the demand on his time. The second topic for coaches is, “Concentration: How to Help Athletes Focus.” He is passionate about figuring out how to put athletes into a position to succeed. Lifrak is also excited to share clips of the videos he has created to help athletic motivation and confidence and will discuss how simple the use of video in this way can be today for coaches at every level. About his impending trip to Dallas, he says, “I love being able to work with and connect with both coaches and athletes and I am excited to be a part of such a world class event. Dallas is a hub of elite talent at the youth collegiate and professional levels. I am humbled to be asked to present.”
